SUMMERFEST 2026 AT CHARLIE'S BAR: YOUR GUIDE TO ENNISKILLEN'S FREE BANK HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

Charlie's Bar Summerfest is back for another August Bank Holiday weekend - and this year it's shaping up to be the biggest day out in town. On Sunday 30th August, we're throwing open the doors, the street and the alleyway for a full day of live music, dancing, family fun and everything that makes Enniskillen brilliant. It runs from 1pm right through to 1am, it's completely free to attend, and there's something for every age from start to finish.


OUR WAY OF SAYING THANK YOU

Summerfest is Charlie's Bar's way of thanking the local community for the support that's kept this place buzzing year after year. It's a day built around showcasing local talent, celebrating Fermanagh's rich cultural traditions, and giving locals and visitors alike a proper reason to make a weekend of it. Whether you're bringing the whole family for the afternoon or settling in for a late one, there's a spot for you.



WHAT'S ON: YOUR SUMMERFEST RUNNING ORDER

Here's how the day unfolds across the bar, the street, the alleyway and the Upstairs Lounge.


Kicking Things Off

The day opens with Paddy Treacy setting the tone, before the celebrations spill out onto the street.


On the Street - 1pm to 3pm

Get the weekend moving with Jiving and Line Dancing on the street, led by Modern Country Moves. Whether you know your steps or you're picking them up as you go, this is the perfect way to ease into the afternoon.


The Alleyway Stage

Our alleyway stage brings the atmosphere all day, with live sets from:

  • Effie Neill & Barry Doyle

  • Gavin Gribben & Band

  • The Porter Belly's


Upstairs Lounge

Up in the Lounge, enjoy music from Tully, Matthew Crampsey and Dara Murray throughout the day.


Traditional Irish Music Session - from 3pm

From 3pm, the Upstairs Lounge hosts an open Traditional Irish Music Session in partnership with Comhaltas. Musicians and singers of all ages and experience levels are warmly invited to bring their instruments and join in. If you've ever fancied being part of a proper trad session, this is your moment.



FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY


Summerfest isn't just for the grown-ups. Throughout the day you'll find:

  • Family-friendly face painting

  • Performances from the Áine McGirr School of Irish Dancing

  • Food to purchase from Tully Mill BBQ

And a Summerfest favourite makes its return - the ever-popular Hidden Naggin Pub is back once again. If you know, you know.


MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT


With the Bank Holiday weekend ahead, there's no better excuse to head into Enniskillen and soak it all up. Summerfest draws a brilliant mix of locals and visitors every year, and with music, dancing, food and family fun all rolled into one free day, it's the perfect way to round off the summer.

Do I need a ticket for Summerfest?

No need - Summerfest is completely free and open to all. Just turn up and enjoy.

Absolutely. With face painting, Irish dancing performances and street entertainment, there's plenty to keep all ages happy during the day.

Yes - the Traditional Irish Music Session from 3pm in the Upstairs Lounge (in partnership with Comhaltas) welcomes musicians and singers of all ages and experience levels. Bring your instrument and join in.

Yes - Tully Mill BBQ will be serving up food to purchase across the day.

Summerfest runs from 1pm right through to 1am.

Right here at Charlie's Bar, Enniskillen - across the Main Bar, the Upstairs Lounge, the alleyway and out onto the street.
