PubAid 'Community Pub Hero Award' 2024

The Community Pub Hero 2024 winners were announced at a prestigious awards ceremony at the House of Commons on 5 March 2024. From 1,000 entries, 24 were shortlisted as finalists and 12 took home trophies presented by the Minister of Hospitality, Kevin Hollinrake. Charlie's Bar, Enniskillen was presented with the award for, 'Community Support Hero' Ireland 2024.  The awards were judged by Rita King, Honorary Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group; George Kyle from sponsor, Matthew Clark; Paula Smith, Head of Marketing at the Licensed Trade Charity; Darryl Hinksman Head of Business Development and MD for Westons Australia; Andrew Buchanan, Operations Director for pubs and brewing at Daniel Thwaites who also sits on the BBPA Future Pub group and Molly Davis, Head of Communications for BII (British Institute of Innkeeping).

'Contribution to the Community' & 'Landmark Achievement Award'

The contribution to the community award, sponsored by Mannok, was introduced to recognise businesses who go out of their way to help in the community demonstrating a consistent contribution to their local community.  The Landmark Achievement Award, sponsored by Pilgrim’s Food Masters honours a local business who is celebrating a landmark year in business this year. Charlie's celebrates 80 years in business in 2024. This award took into consideration employment, vision, dedication and investment along side plans for the future.

Impartial Reporter 'Business Award' 2024

The Impartial Reporter Community Champion Awards in association with Encirc honoured what they described as, 'the unsung heroes within our community'. Hosted at the prestigious Lough Erne Resort by Sky News Senior Ireland Correspondent David Blevins, this event celebrated the extraordinary efforts of individuals and businesses embodying the ethos of selflessness and community service. The Business Award, sponsored by Encirc, was presented to Charlie's Bar, Enniskillen. Editor of The Impartial Reporter Rodney Edwards said: “These awards are about celebrating the essence of community spirit and the remarkable individuals who make our communities thrive'.

TripAdvisor 2022, 2023 & 2024 Travelers' Choice Award

Charlies Bar, Enniskillen has been awarded a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award for three years running. This award is based on genuine feedback from anyone in the community who has visited and left an authentic, first-hand review on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months. “Congratulations to Charlie's Bar, Enniskillen on its recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2024,” said John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor. “Travelers’ Choice honours businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence. This means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took the time to go online and leave a great review about their experience. We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2024 and beyond.”

NISMA 'Most Impactful Social Media Campaign' & 'Best Low Budget Campaign (Under 5k)' 2024

The theme of this year’s awards, which are organised by one of Northern Ireland’s leading award-winning digital marketers and industry mentors Niamh Taylor of Digital 24, is ‘This Is Me’ celebrated authenticity and resilience in the face of adversity. The winners were announced on Saturday 5th October in the Europa Hotel.  The independent panel of global expert judges, who each work with some of the world’s biggest brands, included Katie Philo, Head of Social at GQ Magazine in New York; Nimah Kuzbari White, Head of Brand at leading Irish lifestyle brand 4TH ARQ; Lachlan Stewart, Global Social Media at Canva and Sophie Miller, Founder of the global marketing company, Pretty Little Marketer and Beth Thomas, Content and Campaigns at leading social media consultancy Frankly.  The awards celebrated how individuals, organisations and businesses are using social media positively and excelling in digital marketing to achieve their aims and objectives.

LCN Community Pub of the Year Award 2023

Charlies Bar, Enniskillen was presented with the LCN 2023 'Community Pub of the Year' Gong in June 2023.  The award, which is sponsored by Drinks Inc. was designed to recognise bars that have engaged with and supported the local community, providing a wide range of services and events to meet the needs of their customers. To be shortlisted alongside six other NI businesses was a massive achievement but to take home the coveted title to Charlie’s was a real honour. We’ve always believed that if you’re in a position where you can help people, why wouldn’t you? All our staff work hard to provide a ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere for our customers and we are only too happy to support the admirable work that takes place across the Enniskillen community.

'Ulster Pub of the Year' Award 2022

Charlies Bar, Enniskillen was named ‘Fermanagh Pub of the Year’ in August 2022. Following on from this, the staff celebrated being crowed 'Ulster Pub of the Year’ at the Irish Restaurant Awards which took place in the Dublin Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) on Monday 19th September 2022. Almost 900 restaurant and hospitality business owners and staff turned out to see if they had won in one of the twenty one prestigious award categories.

'Best Guinness in Enniskillen' - Guinness Guru

Daragh Curran, best known as Guinness Guru, rated his pint in Charlie’s Bar, Enniskillen as the best in the town. In a later video, The Guinness Guru described his visit to Charlie’s as, ‘The Maddest Craic’ review.
