A Family Fun Weekend: A Celebration for All Ages

The main celebrations run across St Patrick’s Eve (Monday 16th March) and St Patrick’s Day (Tuesday 17th March) with large-scale events taking place throughout Enniskillen town centre. The much-loved St Patrick’s Eve flotilla returns on Monday 16th March, with festivities centred around Enniskillen Castle. Live music from The PorterBelly’s will run from 7–9pm, creating a lively lead-in to the main celebrations.

The much-loved illuminated flotilla on Lough Erne returns with over 40 beautifully lit boats gliding through the island town - a truly unique spectacle you won’t find anywhere else in Ireland. Public viewing will be available from the Broadmeadow.

On St Patrick’s Day itself, the free Family Fun Day at Enniskillen Castle and the Broadmeadow runs from 1pm–3.30pm, featuring interactive activities, live traditional music and dancing, storytelling sessions, fun attractions, free sweet treats and a wide range of food vendors - making it one of the biggest family events of the year in Fermanagh.

The Parade: Shamrocks and Shared Stories!

No St Patrick’s Weekend in Co. Fermanagh would be complete without Enniskillen’s St Patrick’s Day Parade - one of the largest and most vibrant in Northern Ireland.

The 2026 theme, “Shamrocks and Shared Stories,” celebrates local heritage, culture, and the stories that connect our community. Expect a colourful procession featuring marching bands, Irish dancers, acrobats, community groups, sports clubs, and creative floats bringing the town centre to life.

The parade will begin at 3.30pm on Tuesday 17th March, winding through Enniskillen town centre and drawing thousands of spectators each year. Before the parade begins, crowds can enjoy live entertainment along the route from The Hand Me Downs - adding to the buzz right across the town centre.

The traditional route will take in Enniskillen’s iconic bridges and island streets, creating an incredible atmosphere right across the town. Wear your green, line the streets early, and soak up the atmosphere.

Charlie’s Bar: The Heart of Music, Craic & Great Pints

When the parade ends, there’s only one place to be - Charlie’s Bar, Enniskillen! Known far and wide for our unbeatable atmosphere, packed music schedule, and legendary pints, Charlie’s is the hub of Enniskillen’s St. Patrick’s celebrations.

From Thursday 12th March through to St Patrick’s Day on Tuesday 17th March, Charlie’s Bar will be alive with live music every night, offering a mix of crowd-favourites, late sessions and traditional Irish sounds.

The weekend kicks off on Thursday 12th March with Alex Roe in the Main Bar, followed by Peter McKernan on Friday 13th March, setting the tone for the days ahead.

On Saturday 14th March, enjoy a packed night of live music with James McKee Upstairs from 8pm, Conor Magee in the Main Bar at 10.30pm, and Dara Murray taking over the Upstairs Lounge from 10.30pm to keep the celebrations going late into the night. Sunday 15th March brings a lively mix, with a Trad Session in the Main Bar from 7.30pm, followed by Keep ’Er Lit at 10.30pm.

Monday 16th March keeps the momentum going with Lisa McCrory upstairs from 8pm, Adam Dolan in the Main Bar at 10.30pm, and Brothers Inc Upstairs from 10.30pm for another big night of live music. Then on St Patrick’s Day itself, Tuesday 17th March, the celebrations start early with Paddy Shannon from 3pm and Lisa McCrory at 6pm in the Upstairs Lounge, before the night finishes strong with Tommy Owens at 8pm and Dara Murray at 10.30pm in the Main Bar.

Families are welcome at Charlie’s Bar until 9:00PM, making it an ideal spot for parents with little ones before the evening festivities kick into full swing.
